Spring and fall should provide lower prices and decent weather. I know there are cheaper hotels in amsterdam.
Prices are always higher during the summer months, so if you can avoid June thru August you will get better deals on airfare and hotels. Going the first time should mean that its a tad bit more expensive than if you had been many times before. What I was wondering about is how much it probably would cost per person to stay in amsterdam for a week + the airfare costs. You have to ask for one.....never been offered one.
If you can go November thru February airfares are normally lowest, but of course then you will have to contend with colder weather. There will be two of us and i want to go next year in April... Where should i stay? 50 EUR per day and person means 700 EUR for 2 people staying for a week in Amsterdam or Paris.
