It's fine in the mornings and afternoons, but would not suggest visiting at night, as the crowd gets a bit sketchy in the evenings. Only downside is, the usual dog owners there, aren't very welcoming. On rainy days, it gets quite muddy, so if you plan to go, bring some wet-wipes or towel for the care ride home. Don't have any inside seat, so won't suggest to go on a raining day.

Up until this year I had never been to Hume Park, at least not when I have been driving. As for the kids area, I can't really comment on those but I am looking forward to next ball season at Hume. This review is fort he dog park, nice big space with a great layout. Ranger District This resort styled development is definitely a tropical heaven on earth where you can escape from pressure of daily life. Truly a fan. On the N side there's a winding street that ends in a tiny lot.
The fact it's located along a busy street (North/Columbia) really doesn't help. The dog park is all fenced in, doesn't have a lot of trees shading it like the one at Queen's Park, and seems to attract a lot of other people with bigger dogs, too.
