I understand this hotel has recently had a bit of a makeover, and although we only saw the entrance, restaurant and bar areas, it all looked stunning. staff courteous.
Only stayed a couple of nights and have to say the hotel was comfortable. We will plate your entire meal at the carvery which will be behind a screen, we will then pass this to you to head back to your table. But my room was nice and clean. The housekeeping staff are not intrusive, and your room is clean and shipshape again on your return from a day away.Sandra and her team on Reception, are excellent and a credit to the hotel, they are helpful, cheerful, and nothing is too much trouble.Breakfasts are great, you can choose from a light breakfast, or full English with choice, whatever you require, it is served hot, and by cheerful waiting staff.I must add we dined in the Bar one evening, meal was tasty, well presented, and the Barman and his staff were conscientious and happy about their work.Compliments to the chef ....l had salted caramel chocolate tart with clotted cream, l have dined in many restaurants over the world......best tart ever.....thank you......keep it on the menu. We were delighted to read that you had a very pleasant stay with us. From the outside the hotel looks horrid (dated). The Carvery is the hotel’s stalwart restaurant renowned for its indulgent meat buffet offering a comprehensive selection of flawlessly-prepared, quality roasts. This is the version of our website addressed to speakers of English in the United States. However, my one night stay was excellent.All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Prices are the average nightly price provided by our partners and may not include all taxes and fees. Your praises have been passed onto the staff. Whilst a Carvery wouldn't have been my personal choice, the food was nice and hot, well presented and there was a lot to choose from. Served every Sunday 12 noon to 3pm.
