I have just purchased a new one for my son to use and paired it with an Okuma reel (also a great buy) as he loves mine and I know that because every time I reach for mine, I find it in his hands. VERY pleased with this rod! I also have a 10ft tsunami that is fine and a 10ft tica that is much better than the 9ft. I have it paired to an Okuma reel - very effective setup. I would not recommend it for fast action pencil popper, if you use a 6-10" 4-6 oz top water and let the current carry it out, this will handle easily. Brand: Tica.
