I really wanted to like that place: the garden on the roof, the restaurant and the living room are very nice.But, as many person said, the are no roof to the boxes so you hear the sound of at least 30 others person. Restaurant . We slept, but around 4 am, we awoke, itchy, and when we turned on the light there were 20-30 bugs crawling all over the bed. BASICS. A few homeless folks on the streets, but I never felt unsafe. Friendly staff, especially if you make an effort to chat with them. If you know what to expect it's a great choice- the rooms are tiny but have sturdy doors and good locks, the floors can be noisy during his occupancy times but it's NYC and that's just the way things are, and the bathrooms have always been clean and I've never needed to wait for a shower.
