Although The Next Three Days holds a tantalising premise at its heart, the film takes an extremely long time to get to the point. As far as I’m concerned, for two effective acts Russell Crowe and Paul Haggis subvert the image of the movie star who can instantly concoct and execute a complex plan that will thwart authority and reunite the family.

Occasionally tense middlebrow thriller that lacks both the set pieces needed to really ramp up the tension and the subtlety to make you care much about the characters. Her husband, John would spend the next few years trying to get her released, but there's no evidence that negates the evidence against her. | Rating: 2.5/5 There have been a few films like this and usually they are all pretty tame but thanks to Russel Crowe's brilliant performance he had me rooting for him, Ok the actual way the story was done wasn't amazingly done and the ending little twist I seen coming a mile away but we never really knew if they would escape or not or never knew if she did actually commit murder until the very end and I think maybe there could of been a few good shock twists that would of been brilliant, Still it's an edge of your seat crime/mystery and will be enjoyed by most.
